Born and raised in Peoria, Illinois, Susan moved to California in 1979 to begin college studies as well as employment at General Dynamics Corporation. Throughout undergraduate and law schools, Ms. Addy continued her employment with General Dynamics/Convair, assisting the division in resolving a number of contract and labor disputes. Ms. Addy received her undergraduate degree in business administration from National University in 1983, graduating Summa Cum Laude. While attending law school, Susan received recognition for academic excellence, including scholarships and successive Dean's Awards. In 1988 Ms. Addy obtained a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from National University School of Law, and was graduated fifth in her class.

Susan began her legal career in San Diego, California.  She is familiar with state and federal practice, and has represented business clients at all stages of litigation, through civil discovery, law and motion, arbitrations, mediations, and trials. In recent years, Susan has successfully handled both writs and appeals, including preparation of briefs and conducting oral argument before the Fourth District Court of Appeal.

Susan has been an active participant in much of the firm's business and employment practice.

Susan is admitted to practice in all the courts of the state of California and in the United States District Court for the Central and Southern Districts of California.
